exhausted

Yesterday was the last final of spring semester and today I'm counting down the hours until I leave for France....I don't know where the summer went at all. It's been a crazy whirlwind of 12 hour work days and bizarre situations, but hey, that's what made it all interesting. I loved the people I worked with, the responsibility, and even those crazy days that make you stop and think "......really?" I forgot that it was already August, and now instead of getting a few days to relax, pack, and get ready to leave, I ended up having to work right to the end, throw stuff together, and just hop on the plane. I don't even know when my flight is on Sunday or where I'm flying out of, I'm still trying to get through the last few days at work. People keep asking me if I'm excited, but truthfully, I am just so exhausted every day I haven't had the time to think about it.

Thanks to this awesome chica, I've been emailing AIESEC France about the different LCs in Paris...hopefully I'll be able to join in over there a bit. It was kind of cute and comforting to see all those acronyms we always throw around...CEED, MC, LC, IC, IG....and remember back to the days when I was still trying to figure out what in the world AIESEC actually did. Now I see it everywhere. An intern that I work with that goes to UW-Oshkosh happened to be at the trade conference that Ali spoke at maybe a year or so ago...she was really inspired by AIESEC and talks to me about it pretty often. It was awesome to hear that students outside of the Madison university have heard about AIESEC and remember it over a year later...now there's impact. I guess you never really know when you're going to make a lasting impression on anyone, so always put your best foot forward.
